  • NSBE-UTK is a non-profit student run organization dedicated to the development of intensive programs for increasing Black and other ethnic minority participation in the fields of engineering, engineering technology and applied/physical sciences.

  • NSBE was started in 1975 by 2 Purdue undergraduate students. It was in 1975 that it became recognised as a national organization. NSBE-UTK was chartered by Fred D. Brown in 1980 with 7 board members.

  • The Power House! Our chapter is a part of the south eastern section of the US along with NSBE South American countries and the Carribean.
